A Busy 2024

As many of you know, the MRCC is the most active local club in terms of providing open events for new and existing club members to try out or develop their skills in rock climbing. Well 2024 was a watershed year for these events, simply because we switched from a mid-week appointment to a weekend schedule of activities. This meant that the number of people attending to try their hand at climbing has jumped quite significantly. Aside from that, a good number of participants have become regulars. This means that whereas before the lead guides always had to do all the belaying, we now have plenty of experienced climbers willing and able to belay and keep each other safe. We ended 2024 with more climbing members than ever before and a great community of like minded rock enthusiasts enjoying the sunny rocks of the Maltese Islands.
