After last week’s roasting at Wied il-Bassasa, this week some MRCC members cleverly chose the Crazy Horse Area at Victoria Lines for their morning climbing practice, which offered plenty of shade as well as stunning views of the village of Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq and the calm sea below. Roland Sultana very bravely led the trad climb Face Off HVS 5a and also set up Shirini MVS 4c to its left. Mariella and Andrew kept persevering on this latter route with its cracked tufa and final corner climb until they both made it to the top. On the other hand, Edward and Miriam both managed to top rope Face Off and Longstick Goes boom E1 5b with its imposing overhang, while Claudine and Roland top roped the even tougher Manic Maltese RH E3 6b.
